Gurney Sale Bulls
JG True North 2K
A Stand-Out since Day #1. Heifer bull in the Top 10% for Calving Ease, Birth Weight, weaning weight and yearling weight! Sire is Square B True North 8052 out of SAV Rainfall, a Top 1% Calving Ease with strong maternal traits. I selected this AI sire because he ticked all the boxes for calving ease, maternal, carcass, feet and docility traits.
GURNEY REMEDY 4K
Sire is one of the highest foot score bulls in the breed and his maternal pedigree is stacked with high maternal sires that have stood the test of time. Solid bull with a lot of substance. He’s got a big hip and stands on great feet. His actual weaning weight was 828 lbs. Born a twin
GURNEY ELEMENT 12K
Full brother to our lead-off and highest selling bull in 2021. Deep ribbed and lots of capacity. Dam 86 Z is a proven cow in our herd, has produced great calves for eight year and counting, and still has young-looking great feet. Sire was our pick of the W Sunrise sale in 2019 and still on the farm. Twin to 13K
GURNEY ELEMENT 13K
Everything we said about 12K, except this guy was bottle fed for 1 month and then he robbed from cows all summer long (remember no creep feed!) and still weighed in at 658 lbs on September 14th. Same deep-ribbed structure and capacity as his twin and lots of testicular development.
GURNEY ELEMENT 38K
Dam is a moderate framed cow that did a heck of a job for her first time. His actual weaning weight was 752 lbs. This guy is straight and long-spined, with a balanced set of EPDs. His granddam is still in our herd, working on calf number 14 and she still has perfect feet. If he lives up to his sire’s reputation, he’ll become performance, cowmaker specialist.
RED GURNEY DUKE 76K
Our only Red Angus bull this year- but don’t worry there’s lots for next year! This later-born bull stepped up and performed as well as the older boys. His dam is an excellent producing cow purchased from the U2 Dispersal Sale. Duke’s known for his good feet and his dam has excellent feet
